"During our visits to the Shallotte area, Duffers is always a must-visit, and it never disappoints! The new location offers an open atmosphere with an indoor/outdoor bar, ideal for taking advantage of beautiful weather! Today's visit featured their daily appetizer special, Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese bites topped with queso, paired with fried pork rinds. The antipasto salad is a personal favorite of mine! Unfortunately, I failed to capture a photo of their presentation before indulging, but you can see it's loaded with meat and cheese! The French dip is highly recommended, and the sandwich special of the day was the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich! The cocktails, expertly prepared, were their blackberry lemonade and strawberry lemon drop martini! Highly recommend visiting this local favorite!"

"I usually get the Flounder and Shrimp Platter with the house chips. Its about $22 after tax in 2025. I order to go because I prefer eating at home to be honest so I cant give a complete opinion about the atmosphere. However while I was there it was very busy but there was not a long wait time at all I got my food in about 10 minutes. The staff were all friendly and seemed to be competent in their job. I usually sit at the bar, which is neat because it also connects outside thru a set of windows that span the length of the bar, the bartender always ask if I want something to drink while I wait. I love the flounder and shrimp plate bc they always give a nice big piece of flounder that's coated and fried to perfection. They give an appropriate amount of shrimp. Its a little on the lighter side compared to other place but its still a really good amount for the price. I get the house chips which are always flavored just right. Next time im gonna ask they be fried just a bit less. I like them crispy but last time they were just a bit too crunchy for me. Overall if you're in the area you should definitely check this place out. They have other options such as subs, steaks, burgers and chicken options with a few vegetarian options as well. The owner is also a local who comes into my job with his kids all the time and he is super nice and respectful."

"Nice place nice atmosphere. Hostess and server ( or at least our experience with both in particular) could be a lil more attentive. They did keep the tea glass full and thats important and the food came out in a timely manner. The shrimp po boy could definitely have used a few more shrimp so that was dissapointing but they were good shrimp and the remoulode and bang bang sauce were excellent. Some of the best sweet potatoe fries iv ever had. Definitely in the top 10 as far as restaurants for the sweet potato fries. It was a good experience over all and would definitely go back and recommend."

"Updated review: Love the new location!!! Outdoor seating is awesome with the indoor/outdoor refreshment bar! Totally new vibe and I'm liking it! Very attentive, friendly service. Casual atmosphere. Soft music in the background. Added pictures of the new location, updated menu, and our food: Cuban, Cobb Salad and Reuben Egg Roll. Fantastic (Previous review: Enjoyed my French dip. My guest had soup (Baked potato) and salad. Fried pickles appetizer.)"

"We absolutely loved our experience here. The hostess was extremely friendly and sat us quickly. The hostess also asked what seating preference we had. The waitress (Alyssa) was phenomenal. She was extremely sweet and efficient. It was Alyssa's birthday as well! The food came out quickly and was delicious. We loved everything!"

"We chose to eat at the bar. It was our first time. My wife wanted some soup, we asked how it was, the bartender being honest said he didn't like it. We thanked him for his honesty. He did recommend the mini crab cakes, they were delicious. I had the Texan Burger which was very big and delicious as well. Would definitely go back"
